Very funny and relatable, Ana; I still can't easily swear in my native tongue, but don't mind it in English, it just doesn't sound so crude somehow. Love the glimpse into the joy of your family, and the stretch and connection between cultures.
Oh yes! I have peed myself laughing numerous times thanks to how much my partner makes me laugh. We have a witty competition and when recently he suggested I wasn’t as funny as I thought I reminded him that if I wasn’t he’d be left with my earnestness and deep contemplations and wouldn’t be with me at all. He conceded the point. In multicultural households the only way through is laughter! Really enjoyed this post!
I so love that!!! I can’t help but think how I’m starting to resume with the operation guy. Between airplanes, tractors, large animals, adrenaline addiction, I’ve got more scars than a complete joint replacement cadaver….
As a bachelor with no kids, I shall refrain on any child refrain from eschewing child rearing advice. 😉
I must know, what is the Catalon influence. Who is the Catalonian? I’ve got a dilapidated Adobe up the coast from Barcelona. I’ve been working on it often on since 1993. 🙈 Near Caldes d’Edtrac
Love this. The pediatrician called my son’s penis a 🐢. I thought it was cute and realized that could be really confusing when he gets a little older. What resonated with me the most was the exchange between your husband around the reaction that wouldn’t happen if you said lungs, heart etc. so, so, so true.
Terrific read, Ana---your creative ways with your family are so lively and real, I loved laughing along this morning as I read. And this is the best thought you left me with:
"I love laughter; it is the one noise that our body makes that, even when ridiculous-sounding, becomes everyone."
Thank you to Adam Nathan for sending me over here. It was the picture of the game Operation ‘that sealed the deal’. In my mind’s eye I could see myself opening the two doors to our game cabinet and Operation always fell out
first.Thank you for a great belly laugh, yup full gut jiggle, and a very vivid picture of childhood education .

F@&$ing great!
But now we need to know... Did you say yes, I have a cow inside me that makes milk, or did you not?! 🤣
Pfffffffahahahahahhaahha
Ha ha ha! Had me laughing! Thank you.🤣
Awesome post, thank you!

Not peed myself but I sometimes laugh so hard I have tears running from my eyes and I can't stop them!

this was lovely Ana. Specially impressed of the random sprinkling of 'vulva' etc words into conversation.

I love Swedes. 🫂🧘🏻♀️🌌
There is a procession of great writing in my feed this morning and (shit, fuck, piss) if this isn’t one of them. (just read it)
Also, it turns out the Swedes are funny, and that had been something of a concern.
