So true about language being more than just the spoken word. Even as a Brit, married to an Italian, I notice Swedish people looking strangely at my hands when I am talking....as if they should not be part of the conversation! It’s only now, 12 years after being here and returning back to school do I feel I’m finally getting to grips with the language...just don’t ask me to say “17” anytime soon ;-)

Finnish to me is this language that I see in the cereal boxes (next to Swedish, Norwegian and Danish) and I think- I can make out none of the words here, like not one single one! 🫣. But now I can order a beer 😉
